Senior Pastor

Jesse is a native Texan. He comes to the East Bay from pastoring in the shadow of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. He studied at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia (M.Div) and did graduate studies in American religious history at the University of Virginia. He is married to Jessica Wey, a Berkeley Bear and proud SoCal native. They have two children who are respectively crazy about construction sites and princesses.

Jesse loves ministering the Word of God in all its myriad forms, preaching, teaching, counseling, and encouraging God's people. He loves reading history and craves context. He enjoys the taste but not the pretense or price of good coffee, especially when it's enjoyed over a lively conversation about real things.

Associate pastor

Wade Chan is a Bay Area native who graduated from San Jose State University and worked for a software company for several years before heading to Southern California for seminary.  He received his Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology in 2012 and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America.  He enjoys playing guitar (ask him about his pedalboard), attending concerts, and reading in his spare time. He and his wife, Christine, have two young sons.

Tracy Ong grew up in Castro Valley. She received her BS in Clinical Nutrition from UC Davis, and then received her MA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at San Jose State University. She has served overseas in multiple cities in China and currently teaches ESL (English as a Second Language) at Las Positas College. Tracy is known for her organization and productivity, as well as her cheerfulness and enthusiasm. She enjoys reading, deep conversations, traveling, cooking (and eating!), dancing, and perusing farmers markets. Tracy and her husband, Nathan, were happily married in 2017, and they live in Castro Valley with their son, Corey.
